Root [CDMA] Unlocked bootloader/Rooted. Bluetooth wont work

Has anyone had bluetooth issues after any of those processes? Please can anyone help with suggestions on how to resolve this?

I dont know. It was working 2 days before but I rarely use it. Its a brand new phone 6 days with me. I unlocked bootloader then immediately rooted then proceeded to install apps, set up connections and thats when I discovered bluetooth cannot be turned on. Its stays on 'turning on' for a minute or so then goes back to 'turn on bluetooth'.

I would suggest backing everything up and doing a factory reset. This will erase all user data and apps and may restore the bluetooth functionality if it is a conflict. After that you can load apps one at a time and watch to see if the problem arises again (if the reset fixes it).

If something went wrong in the root process you may have to reflash the phone to stock in order to restore bluetooth.

Or flash a complete custom ROM instead of the SU patch that is provided with the unlock instructions. I'd recommend SteelROM if you want to keep as close to stock as possible.

Im not bothered about being close to stock as long I have all functionality. What other Roms can be recommended and for what reasons (im not too knowledgeble on this).

I use Fresh, it is a Sense based ROM that is pretty close to stock but has most of the bloatware removed as well as all traces of Carrier IQ. This is a good one if you want to keep the stock Sense experience but is equally suited to running other launchers, I use ADW Launcher EX. It uses the stock kernel also.

I have no experience with SteelROM but many like it and if Jerofld recommends it I would not hesitate to try it.

If it messes up your phone I will give you his address!:p:D J/K

When I first started rooting on the Evo 3D, I used SteelROM to get used to everything. SteelH doesn't remove any bloat, adds a few things like tether and whatnot, and keeps it up to date. So it's a good ROM to learn on.

Personally, I run CleanROM DE 2.0. I like the theme and it works well for me. Although, I've been curious about Fresh for a little bit now.

Oh by the way thanks for all your help. i did a factory reset, and re-installed all the apps again and its all fine.

Regards
