Nice man. This is my prefered recovery... But I've come to like your CWM swipe...but variety is the spice of life...thanks for another solid option in the realm of recoveries. [emoji106]

I am afraid TWRP will soon be the only option. CWM is currently a dead project and as a result so is PhilZ :( They work great now, but at some point they may not and will not be updated unless someone takes over CWM development.

Yeah sadly, especially now that Koush and company has turned attention to the built in recovery which I'm still kind of skeptical about.

It actually looks pretty nice, but does not do anything good at all right now. It could be a good one. Fingers crossed :p

I really like Philz Touch. TWRP needs some work for it to be endeared to me. Sooner or later someone else will come up with a different recovery.

just tested this Recovery on my kk bootloader with LP rom, getting flickers in recovery.
I was using TWRP_2.7.1.0-xpe_Falcon.img previously and it was without any flickers, due to my kk bootloader.
As this recovery is made for LP bootloader, my comment is just for information :)

I'm not sure if this has been answered but how do I unlock my bootloader while I have the soak test 5.0.2 for x1031
I imagine you unlock the bootloader the same way you would on any other version of android...through their website. You don't need to unlock it after the update if you unlocked it before the update as it will still be unlocked.

I wasn't sure if it was the same process I've been out the droid scene for a bit just getting back into the grove. Thank you though SuperR.

@SuperR thanks for building this recovery, just updated bootloader so needed this.
One small.thing .. While in recovery phone connects as MTP device , and shows as 1032.
This will also prevent few ROMs from.flashing.
Can it be fixed ?

That is strange. I just installed it, and in Linux it shows up as "Android" via MTP. I also flashed a test zip with XT1031 asserts and it flashed perfectly. Are you sure you are not able to flash zips made for the XT1031?

edit: I attached the test zip in case you want to try it for yourself. It does not do anything but display output text. If you see the text, it flashes zips with XT1031 asserts.

Ughhh I got the Moto G XT1028 Verizon and the official website doesn't unlock the bootloader it was 4.4.2 when I got it. I'm sitting here with a locked boot loader so will this work with a unroofed locked bootloader??? My Lucid 2 had the same issue Verizon locked the boot loader ... Hard.. But they found a way to root it...

This won't work if you have locked bootloader, not only this, any custom recovery won't be flashed due to locked bootloader
You can use sunshine tool to unlock bootloader, they charge 25USD.
