Root [CDMA] update unroot

I need to unroot a evo 3d. IF i update it to latest update will that be the same end result as following unroot instructions ?

Are u soff or htc unlocked?

If soff

No, if you noticed ppl who were rooted and took ota locked their bootloader but kept soff.

If htc unlocked
They have instructions

i dont remember. I dont have the phone anymore. I traded it on craigslist for a new photon.But I told the girl i would help me unroot it.so i guess i have to follow this [HOW TO] Return to 100% stock 1.13.651.7 / ROM - Recovery - S-ON! - xda-developers

If u don't remember how u rooted then I can't tell you how to unroot. Good luck with your photon and if u can find out what hboot the phone has it will be easier to help.

i will found out hboot when i see her. or i can txt her to look it up. The photon is sweet!
