Root [CDMA] What is the best root method for EVO 3D?

I have a stock EVO 3D (Android 2.3.4, HTC Sense 3.0, Software Number 2.17.651.5) and I am finally deciding to root it. The only reason I want to root is because I want to use wireless tethering. I did the same with my old OG EVO, but that was like 2 years ago and I was using the Unrevoked method. I need to get up to speed with what new (or existing) root methods are available today, and which one would be the "best" (quick and easy) one for me? Thanks.

At the moment there is only one way for you to root and you are already on the latest firmware, this is where you want to start before you attempt anything
