Root [CDMA] which Kernel is best for me??

I have stock rom on my evo 3d and I was wanted to put a kernel on it to make it better and I was wondering if Anthrax was the best kernel and which one to pick?? cause their are 2 versions of it and where to download it from, i go to this website but i cant find the download link. I have 1.4 hboot and 2.3.4 android

i was also looking at meanROM and does that already have anthrax kernel already built in?? and it says that i need to update to the new ota updates but i have 1.4hboot and it said to use this update for my phone, but i downloaded it but i dont know how to flash it

i clicked on the link and registered, but i cant find the link for the anthrax recovery for either version 1 or 2 and the only kernel i found says ICS on it
