Help Cdma workshop

I tried connecting my evo v to workshop with success. However the phone will not communicate back. Any suggestions?

Are you sure that you have the proper port selected in workshop? You might have to manually change the port number of the phone because the trial version of CDMA workshop has a limit on the ports available for use.

overbyter is correct you need port 9 to read your info with cdma i assume you have the drivers installed. also there are good tutorials on cdma functions

I'm on the right port and it always selects port 6 on its own. It tries to read the phone but the phone don't respond. In diag I trie to hit on but it wants msl

Was trying to increase volume and thinggs without the root. I was using it to obtain msl without root as explained in the guide. However it won't diag without the msl so I ended up having to root anyway. Got it done and it did not increase volume at all. It won't let me rewrite it saying it is read only. So all and all nothing accomplished except I changed my msl. Anyone know the work around of the read only?

It actually does write, the read only message is just a bug. As I stated previously even though I maxed all the levels and they stuck after re-reading from my phone they actually have no effect on the speakers volume levels. And you can't change your msl, it is very handy to have though for getting into the phones hidden menus and settings.

You can change the msl I successfully did and it works. If I remember right after u read the phone its on the first tab u will see the msl. Just put in an new number and write it to the phone. Then get out of everything do an msl read with an app and u will see ur msl is now the new number

Haven't tried it on this phone but I know that when I attempted it on my Triumph it was a non-writable value in nvram using QPST.
