Does anyone know how to get cdma workshop or anything like it to work on Linux i am on Linux mint at the moment but it runs Ubuntu core i can use wine to open up cdma ws but connecting to a port that is a different story. Any ideas? Thanks in advance :)

i read an article on how to pass usb to a virtualbox machine a while ago but never got it to work. the author used odin to flash a phone with that method. i finally just got situated and my new laptop has 8 gigs of memory so i'll try to find it when i get a chance. we also recently expanded to include a small machine shop at work so i'm playing with different toys lately.

CDMA WS will not work through wine. Reason being that wine is not designed to have USB support as you'd need to access the devices.

The only solution that I've personally tried is Virtualbox. You'd have to setup the device's USB id to be passed to the program instead of getting picked up by your linux side of the machine.

I played with it only for a few days before I wiped my computer. It was more of a proof of concept than anything else. The laptop that I have now came with a xp license and I just dual boot. Its a hassle but it works. I (almost) never let my xp get on the net and that creates another hassle... but it works for me.

Please also note that you cannot use Virtualbox OSE to do this as it has the USB portion of the program taken out. You have to get the version on their website...

Good luck.
