Cellular Repeater working good

I live in an area that has little to no cell signal, and so I purchased a cellular booster/repeater from Wilson Electronics. I am happy to report that is works fairly well, having only rigged a test setup with the outdoor antenna just perched on my six foot step ladder. That should improve even more when i have it mounted at a more elevated location.

fairly well it handles 3g in addition to voice and covers the dual band 800/1900 that our phones use.

Nice wish i would of found this sooner ): Lol
Glad to hear this working duo i finally broke down and got WiFi. Duo i was perfectly happy with my 3g can you recommend which one you got ?

Wilson is the main player in that market I think. That's sweet it's working well for your cg. Too bad or doesn't rake in some 4g for ya haha!

I had thought about getting on for a while but wasn't for sure how well it worked. Thanks I will probably get one unless I move first. I have terrible signal here at home and it has been worse for about 2 weeks now.

I don't think even it it did support 4g, that it would help me. No 4g close enough. Now the higher gain antenna I ordered to go with it, is an ultra wide band that covers even WiMax frequencies, but the unit doesn't.

The little "W1, W2, R1" ports behind the battery cover have intrigued me since the Prevail (although they may have had slightly different labels - I don't remember). They sure look like antenna ports for Cell and GPS. I did some research a while back (Prevail days) and found out the type of connectors needed, etc., to use an external antenna when we drive out to rural areas (often).

But then I read some stuff that said once you insert something into that port, you essentially break the connection to the internal antenna and can never use the phone without an external again. Got too freaked out to try it after that, but would be sweet to have the option.

If anyone wants to be the first to try let me know :)
