cellular south hero

my friend has a cellular south hero. will the update to 2.1 work with his phone? he cant figure out how to get it.:confused:
 
Correct me if I'm wrong but, isn't Cellular South a CDMA network? That would mean he needs the Sprint release of 2.1, not the GSM one.
 
i think so but there isn't much talk of cell south here. i was hoping the release was for cell south as well:(
 
That's because all the Cellular South users are in the Sprint hero section :)

So I've moved this to the Sprint Hero section for you, you should get answers there.
 
Cell South should be getting their own update soon. ACS and GCI in Alaska both offer Heros and they just received the 2.1 update on Tuesday June 29th.
 
I was just about to post if the Cell south Hero and the sprint Hero were the same thing.

Good to know, as I thought they were, but couldn't confirm much.

Need to find a way to get my GF's phone to run longer.
