CES Sprint let down...

I just wish they would announce already! I want to upgrade but don't want to keep waiting to see if what they are releasing are what I want since a few years ago my wife's account go changed over to the premier so I can only upgrade every 2 years :(

seems verizon and att are getting all the new phones.
besides the Evo Shift, are there any other phones that Sprint has announced?

Well Verizon just said they would release the thunderbolt between march and may. But the thunderbolt is about the same as the Evo. So really sprint is ahead so....

Here's what I think:

EVO 2. Tegra 2 dual core, new Sense, out in June.

Samsung Galaxy S 2. Dual Core Tegra 2, Super AMOLED Plus. Out in summer.

HP WebOS device. I think Sprint will be the exclusive carrier for the first six months or so.

Windows Phone 7. They'll have an HTC one and likely a Samsung phone.

I think you'll get the best range of devices on Sprint this year.

Also, all these phones announced, but none are out yet. The Atrix will be out Q1, but that could be March. Sprint has plenty of time to announce a phone.

Also, none of these phones are out. Only announced. Sprint will get the next Gen Samsung Galaxy as well as the EVO 2 likely. Probably a few more, not to mention HP WebOS and Windows Phone 7.

Link don't work. What date does Sprint usually announce their new phones so I know if I should wait an extra month or so before using my 2 year upgrade.

I'm in no rush to replace my launch day Evo. Its still a beast of a phone and it is in pristine condition. So I can wait sprint out.

I want to pull the trigger on the Shift but I don't want to regret using my upgrade a month or 2 later if and when Sprint announces a better phone to my liking. I might just buy an Evo off Craigslist and wait until summer.

Is it me or is Sprint really lagging in the new phone department? It seems like both Verizon and TMobile have been getting an impressive amount of new android phones over the past 2 years.

The only phones launched by sprint worth talking about since the hero are the Evo(shift) & Epic. And now there are rumors that the Iphone is coming to Verizon...anyone else frustrated out there?

Dude, i know. The Evo Shift is the best by far for Sprint. But, Verizon is blowing everyone out on new phones!

Sprint doesnt announce anything until CITA, that is standard for them, wait til then and then see if they'll have anything worth talking about.

Ok, I'm confused now. Were people just overoptimistic or uninformed about Sprint's track record at CES? For the past 2 or 3 months on every forum I looked people for the most part were saying I'll wouldn't buy the Evo, Epic, Optimus S, and other phone since CES is right around the corner. CES came and went without a major splash from Sprint but now people are saying CITA is Sprint's launching pad. This appears to be true so this brings me back to my first question: Were people just overoptimistic or uniformed about Sprint's history at CES?

I suppose I was a little bit of both. I'm not an expert on these types of things so I was probably overoptimistic due to lack of familiarity with CES, CTIA, MWC, etc. After reading forums & articles, I'm becoming more familiar.

I guess the link I posted yesterday didn't work. Sorry! Let's try this again.
Didn't see what you want at CES? Chill. - Android Forums
