change boot up screen ?

i have an unrooted sgs2 and it was locked to O2 , i have it now unlocked so i can use voda payg , but is there anyway to show a diffrent boot screen , without rooting ?

You can flash official unbranded roms which will give you the samsung boot screen, yeah. Similar to using a RUU on your desire.

The short answer is no I'm afraid. Indeed boot screens are very few and far between even for rooted phones because they need to be in a special file format that requires costly software to generate.

Sure, but since you have an O2 splash screen whilst not an O2 customer, you would want to be able to revert back to the unbranded (Non O2) ROM without root though wouldn't you?

Just installed Rom Toolbox (LITE) n installed a different boot screen but it doesnt change anything. Is that because the rom im using has its own boot screen?

My RomToolbox changes my boot animation without a problem. But if you're talking about the splash screen, it's a matter of renaming it and putting it in the right folder.
