Help change default browser for google search?

I looked through the forum and didn't find a clear answer on this.

Is it possible to change the default browser for the google search widget? I use Opera and Operabridge won't do the trick. Every time the search will result on the regular browser.

and does exactly that makes opera mini 5 your default browser for everything.

Doesn't work. Links from my emails open with Opera... But the google search widget still opens up the regular browser after each search.

Am I doing something wrong?

I am alos searching solution for this.

When I press search button on my HTC Magic (cupcake) it strats google search. But than google search starts default browser not in my case Opera Mini 5. How could I do that

I had this issue as well, it appears opera is not capable for whatever reason of being the default browser. Until the devs figure this out (im assuming after the beta stage) it will work with the search widget. In the meantime if you like chrome check out xscope which does allow being set to default.
