Help change default web browser

What is de way on an SGS2 to change the default web browser? The default way within Android doesn't work. The phone says there is no default set, but I can't set my preferred browser (firefox in this case) as default.

When I press the 'browser' button on the drawer in GO Launcher, it opens 'Internet' (haven't got a clue which browser, but I guess chrome) and I would like to have it open Firefox.

The only way I can think of is to text myself an url and tap on that. (no email configured, don't want to use it for email)

Firstly I'm assuming that you have the Firefox browser downloaded on your phone - if you long press on the browser icon in the dock it will give you the option of changing which app this launches so you can set it as Firefox. To make sure that this is always the default browser when you click on a link within a web page it will allow to set Firefox as your default

Or you could go to settings > applications > management. find browser in the list, open that and tap on clear defaults. Then find firefox on the app list and set as default there.

pcbms; I tried this, but no options to choose the app to open the document with. As I can choose which launcher to use at start-up (I'm using Go Launcher), this method is at least working (the choosing), but it seems to be disabled for the 'internet' app.

There are also apps I would like to remove, by example a 'bol' reader (bol being a Dutch on-line store), but that's also not possible. Could this be a firmware 'feature'? I have Gingerbread.XWKE2 installed.

XplosiV: As this is the default option, that was already tested.
