Help Change in wallpaper resolution?

When I got my Xoom I figured out that for making a wallpaper image a certain resolution worked best (1408 x ? can't remember off the top of my head). Since the 3.1 update something seems to have changed in the way it sets the wallpaper image, it shows different crop areas for landscape and portrait orientation now and only lets me use a smaller section of my images. Basically it forces me to crop to the center of the wallpaper images I created.

Has anyone else noticed this? If so, is there a workaround or way to change it back?

I've noticed this, but right now know of no way to go back to the old way, which I also prefer. I'm really hoping this might be fixed in a future update, but I think I have better odds of winning the lottery before this happens.
