OK, so I figured out how to change date selector from English (United States) to English (Australia) or English (UK);
That is 'MM/DD/YYYY' to 'DD/MM/YYYY'

1. Download Custom Locale or More Locale 2 from market, change to your language. Reboot phone.
2. Settings > Date & time > Select date format > *change to 'Sat, 15 Sep 2012' from 'Sat, Sep 15, 2012'

This may be real sensible, but it can be easily overlooked.

I tapped factory reset and my phone went back to Chinese how do I take it to English am so stuck...bought it from a Hong Kong dealer.....please help

So you can't work out the location of the setting because Chinese is completely unrecognisable? Try a reset via dial. Click the phone and call...

Your phone will soft reset, you wont lose anything on your SD Card
