Root Change Lock Screen Text

[cmram12]

Does anyone know how to change the lock screen/notification drop down text? I looked in eri.xml but the option isn't there. I've never changed the text on an HTC phone.

Sorry cmram, I don't have an answer for you but I am having a similar issue. On the BlackBerry I had for way too long, I could add some basic text to the lock screen ("if found please call..") in case I lost my phone and it was recovered by someone honest.

This seems fundamental to me. Paranoid Android seems to meet my needs but not compatible with HTC builds.

I'm not rooted, sorry this is in the rooted forum but it seemed appropriate to piggyback on the existing thread.

You can't really change the carrier name, it's used all over the phone for other things.

It can be removed, but not changed.

There is a flash in my ROM thread, post 3, that will remove it from the lockscreen.

Should work on any Sense ROM.
