If you don't like the lockscreen, there is one other lockscreen that comes standard with the phone. You can change it in the Display settings. It's called Glass Screen. Basically, you just swipe anywhere on the display from left or right and it'll unlock.
 
Or there's a "connect the dots" security screen, where you select a pattern of 4 dots to swipe across. That's what I'm using, even though my kids like the puzzle piece a lot!
 
I use Widget Lock. You can place any widget on the lockscreen and change the slider to many different things.
 
I use no lock so that I can wake up the phone by hitting the power button OR the vol. keys, No puzzle/glass swipe required. So much easier IMO
 
Burn1010: Can you advise me how to set my Fascinate so I don't have to use a lock? As you suggest, I'd rather just wake up the phone by hitting the power button or the vol. keys. Thanks

Where are you getting that option? I only see the one for Glass Screen and Puzzle Unlock.
 
or get the No Lock app and bypass the lock screen altogether. use it with noled app and you can hit the back button to turn on screen when message indicator is on. pretty nifty.

I'm sorry for bothering but I own a Samsung Galaxy S (GT-I9000) which has the Glass Screen lock and I don't seem to find any one more in it. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Ace (GT-S5830) that has the classic Android lockscreen but I don't seem to find Glass Screen or anyone else, except for the pin, password and connect-the-dots in security menu...

Could you please enlighten me on how to choose Glass Screen, please?
