Help Change text size in stock messaging app

When I first got the phone the text in my texts was nice and small, you could fit at least 6 texts on the screen at once and it was perfect. Last night I stuck my phone in my pocket with the screen on and at a text message and from there I took the phone back out and it was deep in a menu that I quickly exited out without thinking twice about. Now going back into my texts the text is much larger, even with the text size at "smallest" it still seems much larger than it was before.

Is there any other menu to change this on? I've searched through everything I can think of but can't find any menus to change it back to the way it was before.
 
Ah you saved me so much frustration. I've been pulling my hair out for the past two days with the annoyance of huge text, of course never thinking to try zooming out. Thank you so much.
 
Wow, pretty sweet how you can pinch and zoom! ily htc <3 lol

Does anyone know how to get rid of the name/callback number for each text there is...for some reason for some people it shows their name AND number for each text they send...can I somehow get rid of that being the persons identity is already at the heading of each text???

I actually kind of like it, gives me the ability to one-click call them. Though pressing on a message gives you the menu which also has a 'call' option I prefer the other way
