Hmm, how are you finding the speeds/reception with the XXKK6 radio? I flashed to it briefly but it seemed to be worse than the stock UGKL1. Didn't play with it enough though.

The XXKK6 radio is a European radio, so logically UGKL1 should be better to use in Canada right? Otherwise they would have just kept it at the stock radio.

If you're having problems with XXKK6 you can flash back to UGKL1
 
Hmm i didnt even know this stuff really

Havnt had any problems with data connectivity. Dont think ive made acall yet though
 
Yeah I think when the 4.0.3 update comes out I'm just going to flash it through fastboot to keep the radio the same.. (and update it to the new Canadian radio when it comes out).
 
The bars don't mean much. Check your signal strength in Settings>About Phone>Status.. I guess you don't have anything to compare it to now, but if you feel like experimenting you could always gather some signal strength data on your current radio, then flash to UGKL1 and compare the two.

I have a GNex for the Hong Kong market with baseband XXKK1. I've been getting weak signal strength in random places throughout the city (Austin, TX)... possibly due to my baseband? Where do I go to get the files needed to flash UGKL1? Thanks!

It's just one file should be named radio.img
Check my link a couple posts above with the list of all of them.. then download it, boot into fastboot mode and in console type fastboot flash radio radio.img
 
well that link direct from the samsung.de site is no longer working and i have lost my download for the reflash and my gnex is doing the reboot loop thing again *sigh*
