There should be a type of poll where you can change your vote whenever you want.
Some of the 'Best (category) App)" threads have polls that are a year old and obviously you could change your opinion as to what you think is the best calendar, for example, in that time.
Another example; there's a 'what rom type do you use' poll in the desire section which will end up meaningless because a lot of people will have changed ROMs many times since originally casting their vote.
