Help Changing APN settings?

Does anyone by chance know if there is a way to change the APN settings on the thunderbolt to get a faster internet connection? So far I've been checking around but haven't been able to find anything for the thunderbolt. Thanks in advance for any help.

Aren't APN settings carrier specific? I haven't used a Thunderbolt before but, from the home screen on my DHD, you go "menu=>settings=>wireless & network settings=>mobile networks=>Access Point Names"

I'm with Orange (in the UK), so have Orange APNs... I don't think that you can have different settings (unless you are using a different network.

One of my classmates is running on AT&T and he has different APNs that he can switch between. Bu yes, they are carrier specific, and they'll be different for every network.

Didn't realise that... have you spoken to your carrier to find out what your APNs should be and if they can give you some others that you can change to?
