Root Changing boot animation screen to the M

I have to send my X back and well, it has the boot image of an android peeing on an apple. I don't think Verizon will take to kindly to that. So I have to reset the entire phone and get it back to factory defaults. I don't know how to change the boot animation. Can I get some help?

Recovery, install .zip, reboot.

couldn't you just go into the Data/local folder with root explorer and delete the custom bootanimation.zip?
