Help Changing boot animation

I've seen lots of apps on the app market to change boot animations (I've got a nasty o2 one at the moment), but I gather that these don't work with the S2?

If not, is there an easy method and a good place to get replacement boot animations?

I am indeed rooted! Does this mean there is an app I can use or I still need to do it manually?

i dabbled with boot animation changer app.

then i noticed this little comment:
"All Samsung phones/tablets come with a weirdly formatted boot animation. The only way to change this is to flash a rom that supports changing of boot animations"

have therefore not tried any other apps. anyone else got one to work??
