Changing boot animations?

Hi there, i have recently installed CheckROM revolution v2.0.0 and would like to know how to use the Kitchen Pro app? I have downloaded a custom
boot animation.zip from kitchen pro which has saved to my sdcard.

What are the next steps i need to take to get this as my boot animation?

You need to "Mark it for install" and then select "Apply" and then boot your phone into Recovery.
 
Hi Ironass, thanks for your reply. I've now installed the zip file from my sd card using your suggested method but i'm still getting the samsung boot animation. Any ideas?

Apologies but i'm a noob to all this!
 
I have similiar prob lads. i`m on toxic rom (with siyah 2.2p) atm but few days ago i used HD Revolution with siyah 2.3 , installed kitchen app, downloaded boot animation, marked to install and... i was still getting samsung boot animation :( tried few times and no results... same with other things downloaded from kitchen... they seem not to install... strange imho as i do everything as should be done (or am i missing sth?)
Can anyone please help me with it, thanks in advance!
 
there are 2 places to look

1. /system/media
2. /data/local

If you have abootanimation.zip file in either of these places then delete and try installing your custom animation afterwards. perhaps one is set to read only
 
I had the same issue until I got onto CheckROM RevoHD 4.0 and Siyah 2.3. It's probably not related to the versions, but all I did was delete the downloaded boot animation file I had, re-download it, and install it via CWM (not Kitchen). Now I've got my Andy zapping an apple back!
