Help Changing color in mms

Hey its me the nooby flasher again with yet another question lol. I just saw some pictures where people invert there mms app to get a sexy black to it and im DYING to get this on my phone. for example there is [Themed App]UPDATE 1/30 ICS flavored MMS, Contact & People - xda-developers So my question is how exactly do i go about installing it? i mean i downloaded the apk but now what? and also at the time it says it only runs with a deoxed roms so if i have the aokp rom will it work on it?

btw this is unrelated but id enjoy it if someone can answer it. Ive heard that if you use the aokp rom it really helps with battery life if that is the case how do i tweak it to get more out of my battery?

Im not using inverted sms, but i am using inverted gmail

With gmail i had to download the apk (on my nexus)and then remove the stock gmail (neeed root) with titanium backup then u just go to app tray and click downloads and find the apk and install

haha ya it did! actually i just found out how to do it lol. I just went to downloads in the clockwork mode thing and i flashed it. It is waaaayyy easier then i thought it would be. So every time i flash new mods do i just do the same process or do i have to un flash whatever mod i have on it currently?
