Changing hybrid to 1x

I never get full bars in my home it's always between 2-4 sometimes 1 when I'm in my basement. In changing this would this effect the performance of my phone. Nam what does this mean also. My battery life I also noticed is not good while I changed everything to sustain good battery life next to turning it off all day.

i posted in the thread similar to this about 1x..if your are in a low coverage area it is best to keep it at 1x (slower data speeds tho) so your signal isnt jumping form 1x to evdo and back. not sure about nam tho

But I think I'm going to experiment and see if I get better battery life with just having 1x on instead of hybrid.

you will probably see slightly better life since low signal is a strain on the battery..if you are using data with 1x it will be a bigger strain than evdo since 1x takes longer to download

I should just leave it on hybrid. So on evdo no calls or texts can come in rights. And 1x with slower speeds is just going to mess my battery life up I guess I will stick with hybrid my battery has to be defective only getting 10 hours.

that actually isnt that bad since you have a poor signal(correct me if im wrong)..u might want to invest in a second battery.

in your basement 1x but elsewhere hybrid...i went on ebay and got 2 batteries and a battery charger so i have one in my phone, one in my pocket and one charging
