hi
sorry for the dumb arse question.
am on oxygen 2.2.2 if i change it to 2.3 do i have to do a full wipe?
also i have noticed if i change rom to either cyanogen or gingervillan say. there is an advance setting with dalvik cache does that need wiping as well ?
have not changed my hboot yet not confident yet to do that ..
am i ok on the std one

thanks in advance

Normally upgrading a rom you'd not have to wipe anything although Dalvik is always good. Some roms have an updater script that wipes Dalvik anyway. If it doesn't work you can always wipe and flash again.

When changing roms I'd wipe everything.

The standard HBOOT will be fine with every rom. You'll just not gain the free memory benefits of the more compact ones like Oxygen and dGB. I'm running a standard HBOOT with Redux. A 90mb rom in a 250mb partition. The rest is wasted at the moment but as I'm using A2SD+ I'm not too bothered.
