Changing screen brightness whilst on internet

I have a small wish for my (non rooted) HTC desire, that is to be able to change the screen brightness whilst on the internet page by using the volume keys. It's not a major headache as all I have to do is press home / change brightness toggle / then return to internet page, and its not all the time but sometimes I maybe happy with the current brightness and choose to browse the net only to find that the brightness is maybe a little low for the page I'm reading. I have tasker so this would probably be the way to do it. Sounds a bit lazy but then if I wasn't bothered about intricate customization I'd have bought an iphone!!

Thanks in advance for any help that can be provided

Close your eyes really, really tight and wish really, really hard. Then it might happen :D

Or you could simply make the 3 or 4 key presses it takes (in any app, not just browser).

Or you could try this:

Brightness Rocker Lite - Android app on AppBrain

No idea if it works but it took me 5 seconds to Google :)

ETA; congratulations. You are the lucky recipient of my 300th post. You win....

...absolutely nothing :D

Since you have Tasker, just setup a profile that is activated when you are using the Internet app.

For example, you could have Auto Brightness on when you are in the browser and restore to a manual setting when you exit.

Or, Tasker allows you to bind actions to certain keys. So you could do it that way.
