Help changing settings from phone

Newbie
im quite new to phones, so there are some things i dont know:

-do i need to upgrade anything, how do i check it?

-can i change the start up of the phone, or at least the music?

-in polaris office, when i read a document but touch a certain point too long, it automatically wants to look up the word in dictionary. how do i disable this or just remove the dictionary?

-how do i rename applications/folders and change their icons. also i noticed that applications in folders were somehow rearranged, all of a sudden. why is that?

-what is the quickest way to exit an application?

-how do i stop the music player? there is only a pause button, no stop button.

-i want to try a new keyboard, or internet browser. can i still use the old ones if i try a new one?

-if i delete some applications i dont need, like social hub or email, can i still get them back?

-how do i make sure i use internet via wifi and not via the phone provider? its quite expensive.

You should be up to date out of the box, however you can check via settings> about phone

Not without rooting i think

Not sure

You can't rename apps as far as i know, not without rooting anyway. If you install GoLauncher etc that will allow you to install themes and change icons.

Exit or kill? Press home button to exit. To kill, long press the home button and launch task manager. Many other apps are available as well.

Pause or kill it. Also you could try another app, i use DoubleTwist.

Yes, Go keyboard is my favourite and after trying all of tge browsers i find the stock one is the most reliable, followed by firefox.

I dont think you can anyway.

Turn wifi on, it automatically turns data off (3G)...or mine does anyway

If you go into settings, about phone then click on "Software update" your phone can automatically check for software updates :-)
