Help changing the market?

on my roommate's Nexus his marketplace features three top tabs
"apps"
"games"
"downloads"


is there any way to change it so instead of having the useless "verizon" tab i can have the far more useful "downloads" one?

i only got my incredible sat., from a blackberry, so any simplistic instructions would be most appreciated

Are you looking for a list of applications you've downloaded from the market?

When in the market, press MENU -> Downloads

I think that ought to be the same thing?

Dont think you can change the market (without root at least)

what im hoping for is to change teh market tabs, so INSTEAD of hitting menu>downloads, it's up on the main screen

is that possible without rooting?
