Changing the notification bar icons?

Hey alll so I was wondering is there a guide on how to change the icons that appear all the way at the top of the phone think it is called notification bar. Icons such as vibrate/data/battery/signal/time?

If your on checkrom you can change them through the kitchen app I'm sure. Not sure how it's done in other roms sorry

How do you get the facebook icon that shows how many notifications you have?

it's not mine so i don't know. I am on the stock root not using a rom:S
 
Either instal checkrom, it's fab. Or google jkay themes on xda - you can then use one of his files to change icons without using a custom rom.
 
Hi thanks for the reply I'm following the steps here
How to install this mod:
1) Look at first post...
2) Find a theme you like
3) Remember its name
4) Come back to this post
5) Click the link for themes for your rom
6) Select odexed or deodexed (stock rom is odexed)
7) Find the theme with the name from 1st post
8) Download it and put it on your sd
9) Download JKay Deluxe Settings zip
10) Unzip it at put it on your sd card
11) Boot to cwm and install theme zip
12) Reboot
13) Install JKay Deluxe Settings apk using 'My Files' app

Step 11 doesn't make sense it says to boot to cwm and install the theme zip. Am I suppose to open cwm and click boot into recovery then install the theme zip from there?

The KK themes are identical.
JKay has updated his updater-script file to check for KK2 and KK5, so just download the KK5 themes and you will be fine
 
Hmm I used the cwm recovery option then went to choose zip from sdcard selected the blue circle kk5 theme deodexed. After cwm did its thing I clicked reboot and was stuck at the samsung screen with the yellow exclamation. I then just did a restore cause something obviously went wrong. Any ideas what I did wrong?

This is what I am using for firmware
XWKK2
Android 2.3.6

That looks like to be a stock rom firmware download to me.
Deodexed themes will not work on stock roms. You will need Odexed themes

However, this appears only to be for KK5 specifically, so you may be stuffed unless you upgrade your firmware to KK5 from here (specifically KK5), or install a custom deodexed rom
