Root Changing WiMax LED?

So i know you can use tasker and the locale execute plugin to change the color and speed of your wimax led on your evo but i have no idea how to use tasker and i have been wanting to change the color of the light ever since i got my phone. Can someone please give me a tutorial on how to do this or another way of changing the color?
 
yes ive read that article before but i still dont get it. Can someone give me an in depth tutorial please
