charge cord snuggness

Hello folks -

Is anyone else having challenges with their rezound charge cord? I'm on my third one. The problem is the connection point where the cord plugs in to the phone. They start off snug, but over time (a few months) they get so loose that most of the time when I think I'm charging, I'm not. I have to spend a lot of time just getting it perfect and making sure the little icon indicates it is charging. I just grabbed a couple charge cords off of amazon for about $8 each. Maybe original equipment is radically better?

thanks

This isn't normal, but I don't have a solution for you. I'd like to think that after having trouble you'd pay attention to rough-handling of the cord, which is the most likely cause.

HTC Flyer Data cable DC T500 (ExtMicro USB 12pin, White) #73H00389-01M - Expansys USA

The OEM cable's mini USB plug end is about 1/16" longer than the standard mini USB and there is a deepish groove along the underside to help guide the plug into the port. It seems that the contact point inside the Rez is just bit deeper than what most others are hence the connection problem with other cables. Maybe it is a conscious design change because many HTC phone in the past have suffered from weak USB ports that would easily break. The HTC Flyer cable in the link provided by sbebs2000 is as close as I've seen to the original. I've bought a couple of cheap cables and they suffer the same problem as the OP's but my original is still snug and works really well.

I have an issue with my car charger. I bought the popular Motorola branded one from Amazon. It plugs in but it wiggles around a lot so most of the time it isn't charging unless I am physically holding the plug in position.

Anyone know of a car charger with a plug similar to the OEM HTC AC charger plug?
