Help Charge gets hot when in my pocket

WHenever I put my Charge in my pocket it always gets hot, around the higher 90s to low 100s, which in turn drains my battery. Does ne1 else have this problem? I never had this issue with the OG Droid

Betcha that puppy is looking for a signal. I have the same thing happen to me when the phone is looking desperately for a signal.

Does this happen all the time & are u at the same place when it does, home /work,etc.? When i first got my extended battery for like the first week when i played certain games it would get very hot, but i no longer have that issue.

I notice it when it's in my pocket it gets hot. I got a belt holster for it and it doesnt get hot when it's on the holster

Honestly man I can't explain this one. Weird.. very weird..

nope, they're Air Force Airman Battle Uniform trousers

I was sure it was the old "metal pants" issue. Now I'm stumped.

It's possible the phone's getting jostled in your pocked, buttons are getting pushed and the phone is constantly accessing and updating functions and features. That might cause it to heat up...

Hey I'm having the same issue with my phone, however, it heats up randomly, while being charged and while using apps. The phone does not get melting hot, rather, too hot for comfort. The other day it actually paused the charging process and stated " charging has been paused because the divice is either too hot or too cold". Neither Verizon nor Samsung actually know what this message means nor the temperature setting on the phone that will trigger this response. Verizon says it's normal for some heat but a safety issue if it's too hot. Samsung has no clue even though it's their product. I've tried replacing batteries and chargers but the problem persists. Hopefully it won't have a meltdown to the point it causes physical harm or property damage.
