Help Charge notification will not turn off

My VGN will not drop the charging notification when disconnected from the charger. I have disabled LightFlow with no effect. I have not recently installed anything new. I did have a couple of unsolicited market apps show up on my home screen. Rebooting and rebooting with battery pull does not help and it does the same thing with different batteries. Any ideas besides a factory reset?

verizon will want you to because they arent all that intelligent
are you rooted? on a rom?

Aaaaaarrrgh! Now I just had two icons pop up on my screen for Zillow and Priceline, neither of which were requested! I am running Avast, where is this crap coming from???

Try installing "Lookout Ad Network Detector" by Lookout Labs from google play, do a scan with that and you should be able to find the apps that are causing this issue, when you find the culprit apps uninstall them, clear data on each app before you uninstall.

Ok, I uninstalled some questionable apps and rebooted, still have the charge notification issue...

I went over to the XDA developer forum where there is a huge thread on this issue. It is a hardware problem related to the USB charge card. I just stopped by my Verizon store and they are sending me a replacement next week.
