Help Charge Notification

Ok, I've about had it....

I'm a guy that came from my new Iphone 5 to the Note 2. I LOVE the note 2 and have been extremely happy with just about everything.

Screen - oh that lovely screen - WINNING!
Battery - absolutely the best I've EVER had!. I've NEVER run it past 27%!
Samsung Quality - seems like it's top drawer.
Android - take getting used to all over again, but 4.1 seems pretty solid.

BUT!!!! and here it comes. The damn full charge notification in the middle of the night. Yes, I know I can turn off the system sounds. This is where it gets screwy! I did turn the sound off and it's been fine, but over the last 3-4 days, all of a sudden.... the stupid thing sounds off in the middle of the night. SOOOOO MAD!!! interupting perfectly good sleep. The Iphone's "do not disturb" feather is absolutely KICK-ARSE-ROCK-SOLID. For the life of me, I can't figure out why Samsung wont let us turn this off or give us a better DND feature.

Back to the problem at hand... anybody have fix.

NO, NOT ROOTED nor do I want to. The phone has been AWESOME accept for this and it's recent. That said, even when silencing system sounds worked, DND from apple still kicked but over anything that Android has put out. HELP!!!! PLEASE!!!!

Hello and welcome, mlc331.

Are you using a 3rd party launcher? Sometimes they need a tweak in their respective menus to get the functionality of the stock TouchWiz.

If you're using the stock launcher, try clearing caches and data in the suspect widget(s). You'll have to reconfigure the times, etc, but that does often remedy those issues.

Reboot the device after making changes.

I'm using holo HD launcher and what's weird is I'm not getting the full charge notification and I would prefer to have it (I only charge during the day). So OP, maybe try holo HD launcher (not just holo-holo HD) and see if that fixes the problem for you.

By the way I'm not rooted.

It would be nice to fix something like a charge notification without completely switching launcher of course.

Sometimes I have had settings that don't seem to be adopted any more. I generally toggle the setting to opposite, let it run (in this instance turn the sound on and charge during the day), then turn it back off again.

3rd party apps can also override some samsung default settings so think if you installed anything around the time it started making noises again. Or if you changed other battery settings such as display percentage in notification area.

I actually always ensure I charge by battery durign the day when it is near me so I can pull the cord once charged. Battery tech is orders of magnitude better that it was just a few years ago but leaving a phone on charge for several hours a day will degrade it slightly faster than not.
