Help Charging and Power Issues

Is anyone else having issues with the top of their phone getting warm? I was listening to the media player, charging and putting songs in playlists when the phone rang. When I put it up to my ear, I had to jerk it away it was so warm. I have noticed that it does get more warmer than usual at the top, especially at times when i'm charging, which brings up another issue.
There are times when I can leave it plugged in for a hour or so, yet the percentage on both the on screen icon in the "about" section showing that it only increases by a couple points. Yet, when I do a battery pull, it will show a significant increase. There are other time too that I can leave it plugged in all night, and it will only get up to around 82%, but others it will fully charge.

I was having kinda the same issue but what seemed to fix it was

- FULLY discharging the battery.

- Like letting it die (shut down on it's own)

- Wait a min turn back on then kill it again

- Wait a min then kill it again, and again, and again till it just wont power up AT ALL.

- Then in one sitting, fully charge it while off. Don't disconnect it until fully charged.

Before I did this the notification led would stay on (red or green)
and the charging animation would still be going as if it was still plugged in (when it wasn't) and it would lag and freeze up.

After I fully discharged it with this method I no longer have any problems. Also had to wiggle it once to make connection. Probably due to poor solder connection.

But not enough of a nuisance to make me return it or use factory warranty.

Any other secenario you find the top(I think it is near the receiver) will warm up? for example when you have a long time phone call without charging?

After a couple days, I am still having issues. The charging issue seems to be a littke better, but I am having a couple forced restarts and/or freezes a day now. I also have a problem of maintaining my home screen when I do a battery pull, as whatever wallpaper I have assigned, disappears after a battery pull, and it reverts back to the stock wallpaper thay comes when you first activate the phone.
I had high hopes for this phone, but now im not so sure about it.

Cannot reproduce your wallpaper issues after pull out the battery when it is power on. any details?

Power is always on for battery pull. Cant do it any other way when phone freezes. Also, my phones ringtone is always reset to default after battery pull as well.

Try to have a Fatory data reset: setting-Privacy-Factory data reset. then try to reproduce your issues.

I have a ZTE Warp, and since I got it, it has never charged right from USB or the charger (AC to USB) that came with it.

It charges, almost never to 100%, but to 99%, and then starts discharging. I'll have it on the charger overnight, and can clearly see it charging. Then when I wake up in the morning, there's less of a charge than when I started charging it.

I look at the Battery Usage, and it shows the graph with it fully charging and then discharging. And while it's clearly discharging, it still shows the animation and symbol for charging.

Just for the heck of it, I tried my mother's charger (Same phone) as well as a nokia micro USB charger. No luck with either one.

Any idea why this might charge and discharge like that?
