Help Charging android admire

My husband bought me an android admire through metro not even a week ago and it takes forever to charge. Even without any apps. When it was first purchased I let it die then let it charge completely and it took hours upon hours and its still like that. What can I do?

Well, I have personally noticed a swift battery depletion but given the heavy use I put on the thing its expected. When charging are you on and off the phone (in general, not referring strictly to calls) with ANY mobile phone it is strongly recommended that you power down the phone and then allow it to charge to completion without any tampering, try this next time you need to charge it and see if it makes a difference in the future, if not its possible you have a bad battery out of the box and need to take it to metro to be swapped. Good luck.

Every phone I've ever own, would usually fully charge in an hour or so. But with my 2 week old Admire, an hour on the House Charger would only yield like 10-20% more charge! I've never seen a phone take this long to charge as the Admire, so it's not just your phone.

How long is the battery lasting before a charge? If not very long - then something running or constant low cell phone signal could also be the culprit for taking so long to charge. I would put the plane in airplane mode and turn off the wireless to see if this has something to do with the issue.

Also - I'm sure you had a diff phone before this one from Metro (but maybe not).

Personally I had a Torino, because they couldn't flash the phone I brought offered it for $20 bucks.

The Torino comes with a charger with a Micro USB connection. When using this charger I have noticed that the Admire will charge, but very slowly.

We plugged the same charger into my wife's HTC Touch Slide and it won't charge at all - indicating further some difference in charging from a standard smartphone charger - It's likely still USB 5V but just for a smaller device (Less A? Not sure)...

Not sure if this helps ... :D
