Charging can't keep up with Navigation Use

Has anyone else had this issue when using the Galaxy Note for navigation over a long trip? I find that even with the Note plugged into the charger, the battery is still draining. It's like as if the charging can't keep up with the power demands of the Note (probably from combination of display and GPS use). I even plugged it into a 2.1mA charger and it still drained - eventually draining to zero. Has no one else experienced this and perhaps it's my phone/battery? The charger itself works find to charge my GS3...

Thanks.

its the charger and/or the socket to blame. I had this issue and changed charger and it was resolved. When I changed car it started to do this again. Once again changed charger and now fine!

Hmm, thanks... I'll try another socket in the auto to see if I get the same results. I thought it strange myself but then thought also that the GPS, display and also the LTE radio in the model working together is using more power that can be replenished but then again - I'm sure that was considered for using the Note as a navigation tool. :)

I've found that with the backlight on all the time. I use Co-Pilot which has an option to only turn on the backlight at junctions and that solved the issue for me.
