Help Charging for the first time

I just got my Admire and I was wondering how I should charge this for the first time. I've searched and seen that some dry out the battery and then fully charge it and some just charge it without turning it on. This is my first phone so I'm a bit clueless. Thanks!

charging it up fully should be okay your battery will be getting use to your
daily use and i suggest giving it a week to see how it does. you could not
charge it and drain it completely then charge it fully wipe battery stats and then
drain it to 0% again, recharge it fully and reboot the phone.
