Help Charging Issue

Recently I have been having a problem charging up my phone. At night I usually put my Optimus V on the charger and it's good to go in the morning. Well sometime during the night the charger just stops charging the battery. Sometimes I will put it on the charger and 5 minutes later it stops charging again! Sometimes I don't have a problem at all and it charges fine. What is going on?

What kind of charger and battery are you using, OEM LG or aftermarket?

Not all, but some aftermarket chargers/batteries can have problems like what you describe.

It's not aftermarket. I don't know what kind it is, but it's whatever came in the box. It's all stock.

Humm...Next suspect would be a faulty cable. Try a new cable and if you can borrow another OEM or high quality power adapter try that as well with the new cable.

If all that doesn't eliminate it, then try a different electrical socket that is on a different circuit.

These are relatively easy steps to try and eliminate some variables.

After all those, next I would would be the MicroUSB socket could be shot/loose connection.

I've had the same problem with my Optimus V not charging. I think it's a connection problem, because when I fiddle with the cable, the screen shows that it connects. The phone rarely has charge throughout the whole day even with 3G turned off. I bought phone from Best Buy but called Virgin Mobile to find out what happens with cell phone service: like how do I turn off my phone and return it to the store at the same time? They said that because I bought the phone less than a month (30 days) ago they'll send me a new one. They'll give me a paid return envelope where I'm suppose to send back my old phone. We'll see how this pans out.. I'll come back and report with an update once I get my phone in the mail and restart service.
