Charging issue

So far been real happy with my EVO. But this morning woke up to an odd issue. EVO was on its charger all night, and when I pulled it off, the battery was at 28%!?!? Did a restart and also pulled the battery. Put it on the charger at work, and it still kept going down. Tried another charger, with the same results. If this doesn't improve quickly, I may have to get another phone. Has anybody else had a similar issue?

Does it say its charging via AC or USB? USB isn't enough to charge the battery in some instances.

Try recalibrating(delete battery stats) your battery at 100%, then drain the battery to 0%, keep phone off and charge till 100%. Do this 2 or 3 times(except the recalibrating part, you only do that once.) and your battery life should be more accurate. If anything just ask VM for a replacement.

Edit: Also make sure your charging through a power socket...

that could be that the usb port is not working. or as rolo says not enough power available. check to see that you have a 5 volt 1amp[1000ma] charger. there has been alot of problems from under spec use of chargers.

If the phone detects USB, it won't matter (my USB ports deliver 1500mA), it will still only pull 500mA max. I hate devices that are too smart for their own good!

This is the same charger I've been charging it on since I received it. I did notice a slow charge the night before, but figured that was because I left the wifi on. This is different because, it didn't charge at all, and actually lost power. For the moment, everything seems to be back to normal. I'm getting a full day out of it without a charge.
