Help Charging issues

I haven't found this one yet on here so I'm going to ask. I have no problem charging my Galaxy S2 when plugged into my computer with the USB cable. However, when I try to plug it into a regular wall socket it won't charge, it actually drains the battery. The battery indicator says it's charging but I'm losing power. Now I'm using the equipment that came with the phone. I don't get it. I've had the phone for 4 days now and it's bugging me out. Yesterday I did a reboot(I think) by turning off the phone, taking the battery out, holding the power button while putting the battery back in, then turning the phone on. This process took about 30% of my battery away. What gives?? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought this phone from Ebay, three days and is it normal that the charging cycle took like 5 hours to charge completely?? is it that slow?

Have root and unlocked.

Edit... The usb cable was defective

saveferris -- it may be that your phone doesn't know the actual amount of power left in your battery and is "guessing." Try letting the battery drain all the way out, to the point where the phone shuts off. Then charge it up, and don't remove it from the charger until it's completely charged. That way your phone will "know" where the 100% point is and will be able to calculate the battery power more accurately.
