Help Charging problem

Yesterday my note was left to completely run out of battery, then when i tried to charge it, the charging screen appeared to be left caught in a loop. It was showing the battery charging for a couple of seconds then it would try to boot up, boot up failed then it showed the battery charging screen for a few seconds and then the whole process would repeat.

I have left the note on charge all of today and it is finally turning on however the battery is not even 3/4 full and with the charger still connected it shows a red cross over the battery icon. I am using the original wall charger that was supplied and it is not damaged in anyway.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Make sure the usb plug is pushed in firm as it is such a short lead it's quite easily to pull it out a little also when I got my tablet I was always finding protective film everywhere they even put it on the plug so is could also be blocking the socket?

I had a similar problem and it turned out to be my cable, if u can get another try see if that fixes the problem.
If using a friends cable helps try contacting samsung for a replacement.
