Charging problems

I've been charging my phone on my laptop and it won't charge past 40%. Can someone please help me?

I am not sure if I can help you for sure although I think I have had nearly every sort of charging problem.

Here is what I would try:

Disconnect from the USB

Pull the battery from the Droid for 1 minute

Replace the battery and power up the phone

When the phone boots look to see what your battery level is

Plug in to a wall charger only.

I would bet it will charge just fine at that point.

USB charges very slowly or even not at all if you have a lot of stuff running/the screen is on. A wall charger is best.

Sweet! I plugged it into the wall about two minutes ago and it's already at 50%! I normally don't have any problems charging on my laptop, but I went ahead and tried the wall charge like you all suggested. Thanks so much.

Is there a reason why the USB cable is short! A longer USB charging cable would be better! LOL!

You don't want your USB cable too long. Get an extension cord instead.
