Charging Question / Problems

I've been noticing that my Droid appears to always have a low battery, even though I thought I had been charging it. I installed Battery Graph which polls the battery every 5 minutes (or every 1) and puts the data on a nice graph.

I've been sitting at my laptop for the past hour plus, with it plugged into the USB port the entire time. According to Battery Graph, the unit was at 20% from 401 through 4:50 and only at 4:55 did it jump to 30% charged.

Thoughts? Does this thing charge when plugged into an active USB port? Last night I had it plugged into household power and it took some 3+ hours to get to 100% charge, this just doesn't make sense.

Edit: I will add that the display shows that it is in fact charging.

Any guidance greatly appreciated,
PittCaleb

Plugging it into the wall adapter will be much faster than charging with your laptop.

Even though both sources provide the same voltage, the wall adapter provides more current than your laptop.

People have reported 1.5-2 hour charging times with the wall adapter.
