Charging the battery

So I made a mistake and fell asleep while I was charging the phone one night. It was probably charging for about 8 hours or so. When I checked the screen the was a weird msg, I cant remember the text though.

Is it safe to charge the phone overnight while I sleep (Like the Huawei Ascend)?

I have been charging overnight since I got the phone (December) and have had no problems doing so.

The message reads "unplug to save power". You are fine. its just leting you know androids are going green

I've never seen that message. I typically charge mine overnight as well, and have never had any portion problems.
