I put my phone on to charge last night at 38% and this morning it only showed as 78% after 8 hours charging. I have searched and posted on other posts before about the problems that appear to be linked to the official charger or cable but I was wondering if anyone has seen any official response from Samsung about this as there many posts out there about this.
The phone draws a lot less current when its charging from USB, that can only be changed by rooting and flashing a custom kernel.
Sounds like the wall charger is damaged.
The stock charger is 1200mA and the phone only draws 1000mA by default from it so its more than enough
Have you tried a different cable? I have a similar problem but that's because the cord wore-off, and the kernel reduces the power drawing in until it reached a stable stream, it then reduces it by an additional 100mA. Using my Nexus 7 cable solve the issue completely.
