i actually have the same magnets and can confirm that this worked with my x.

not gonna spend $50 on a car dock and realize it was just for a stupid magnet.

How do you plug in the micro-usb for charging? I have seen a few of these now without a good solution ...........

well you would just plug in the usb/charger and the audio cable the same way you do now. may seem a bit on the cheap side, but if you are good with home projects, then this should work out fine.

The same way you do now? ........ There is no way you are charging the X in landscape / home dock mode with that cradle unless you lay the phone on the desk with the magnet taped on the back. Yeah ...... worth every penny of .75 cents.
