Cheap droids. Are they a scam?

Prices just went up for existing Verizon customers. Used to be $69.99 and now its $129.99

Tell me about it! I was all set to order from Amazon after doing extensive research until the price changed a couple days ago.

It's more expensive than ordering from Verizon online!

Hmmm, I wonder why amazon raised the price for new and existing customers? The Droid must have been selling like hotcakes. I'm glad I got in on the $19.99 deal.

There are supply issues on the Droid right now, so the prices are going up.

For what it's worth, I have ordered from both and think Wirefly does a better job than Amazon. It's just easier to find Wirefly complaints because they do like 10 times more volume than Amazon, and have been doing it longer; they had a a lot of rebate complaints several years ago (when they still did rebates); and people just tend to trust Amazon. Wirefly actually runs the cell phone stores for Radio Shack, Best Buy, Target, Dell, Newegg, and a bunch of others...

Amazon price was back to $20 yesterday.

If you check BBB and attorney general records, Wirefly has been repeatedly sued for consumer fraud in recent years. I do not know if these cases have all been settled yet.
